On May 1, our 8-and-Under Program collected 918 pounds of donated food PLUS $73 in cash during our "Inaugural 8-and-Under Food Drive" to support the Arvada Community Food Bank.

The following teams each brought in the most food items for their respective programs:
  • KID PITCH: Mike Stahl
  • MAJORS: Wade Church
  • MINORS: Jeff Taylor
  • TEE BALL: Ryan Pratt
  • GRAND PRIZE: Wade Church
Each of the teams will receive a prize as recognition for their food donations to the needy kids of the Arvada area.

Congratulations! Thanxs again for your support!

"Feed The Need!"

NJJBA Supports the Arvada Community Food Bank

spaghettios This year, the North Jefferson Junior Baseball Association will be supporting the "Feeding the Future BackPack Program". Each Friday, the Arvada Community Food Bank fills 750 backpacks with food for elementary school students who would otherwise be hungry over the weekend.

These are Arvada children who attend Arvada schools, and each of these schools has children that participate in the NJJBA programs. In addition, each of these schools are practice locations for NJJBA teams.

Throughout this season NJJBA will be holding food drives at the IPF, clinics, game fields, and tournaments. Look for more information soon via the web site, from your coaches, through emails and IPF postings.

Suggested Food Donations
  • Canned items - Soup; SpaghettiOs; Fruit
  • Veggies; Beans; Tuna
  • 1 lb Pasta; Macaroni & Cheese
  • Packages of individually-wrapped cookies; cheese & crackers
  • Granola Bars; Rice Crispy Treats; Pop-Tarts; Protein snacks
Hopefully this will be the first of many years that our organization can help support the children of our community.
